NacatamalOn
2D & 3D engine · WebGPU and WebGL2

Make games that look like 1997.

A 2D and 3D engine for the web, built for the look of the consoles from SNES to GameCube. It runs in any browser: WebGPU where there is one, WebGL2 where there isn't. And you write it in TypeScript.

Functions, not classes

Scenes and components are functions, and state comes from hooks. No hierarchy to inherit and no ceremony to learn before a sprite shows up on screen.

The limit is the look

Short palettes, dithering and console colours, built in. The scope is fenced in on purpose: these are games you finish, not projects you abandon.

Shipping is a folder

Exporting gives you four files that are already a website. Put them anywhere and send someone the link the same afternoon.
